She earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in criminal justice and was a four-year member of Loyola's Varsity Dance Team, including three years as captain. After completing her undergraduate studies, she was asked to join the Loyola coaching staff to continue leading the spirit programs toward a great future.
Everson worked for Universal Dance Association (UDA/Varsity Spirit Corporation) as a head instructor in the Midwest territory and continues to work for the company as a competition judge on the regional and national level. She also works as a freelance choreographer for dance teams across the country.
In her 11th year with the Loyola Spirit Program, Everson is also a Tactical Analyst at the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
