Dr. Pat Kraft

Pat Kraft, Ph.D., is in his first year as Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Operations at Loyola University Chicago. Kraft spent the last two years as the Senior Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing at Indiana University and at Loyola, he will oversee all aspects of the external operating area for the department, including the marketing, ticketing, media relations and fundraising components. "Pat emerged from a strong pool of candidates based on his wealth of external experience in college, professional and international athletics and his proven success building fan bases, driving student involvement, and negotiating contracts on behalf of athletics departments," Calhoun said. "His energy and enthusiasm is contagious and I witnessed first-hand Pat's ability to maximize the visibility of athletics programs and engage the campus and local communities while at Indiana University. I am excited to welcome Pat and his fiancée Betsy back home to Chicago." At Indiana, Kraft was responsible for the branding and marketing efforts for all of the Hoosiers' programs. He oversaw game production for all of IU's varsity sports and coordinated group, season and single-game ticket sales for football, men's basketball, men's soccer, women's basketball and women's volleyball. In addition, Kraft managed the promotion, marketing, brand enhancement and enforcement of the school's Adidas contract and the Big Ten Network partnership as well as the Learfield Sport Properties multi-media rights agreement with the Hoosiers. No stranger to Loyola, Kraft, who is a native of Libertyville, Ill., taught undergraduate courses in Loyola's School of Business Administration and oversaw the Sport Management Club during the 2008-09 academic year. A 2000 graduate of Indiana, where he also played football, Kraft earned both his master's and Ph.D. from Indiana. |
