Marc McRoberts

Position:
Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations

Hired on May 23, 2011, Marc McRoberts is in his first year as associate athletics director for internal operations but is no stranger to Loyola University Chicago. Prior to his current post, McRoberts served as the Controller for Capital Planning/Campus Management at Loyola.

In that position, McRoberts was responsible for the day-to-day fiscal operations of Business Service units, including Conference Services, Loyola University Retreat and Ecology Campus, Cuneo Mansion and Gardens, University Bookstore, Parking and Transportation. In addition to providing financial forecasting, McRoberts assisted with invoice processing, reconciliations and commission recording for internal and external transactions, as well as aid in vendor selection committees.

"Marc combines tremendous work experience with a familiarity with Loyola from his time on campus and his time doing audit work for the University," Loyola Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics Dr. M. Grace Calhoun said. "He brings a wealth of financial experience to our department and he already has an understanding of the inner workings of Loyola, which will serve our department well in a time of rapid change as we bring Loyola back to national prominence."

Prior to his arrival at Loyola, McRoberts worked for Adams Harris, Inc., and was a senior consultant for Smart Business Advisory and Consulting, LLC. While at Smart, McRoberts worked on various Loyola internal audits as a staff and senior consultant from 2005-08.

A 2005 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, McRoberts was a team captain on the men's soccer team in 2003 and the following season served as an assistant coach.

McRoberts and his wife Kristen, who is a Loyola alum, are expecting their first child in June 2011.
