Barrington, Ill., native Molly Sullivan is in her first year as assistant athletics director for compliance and student-athlete development at Loyola University Chicago. Sullivan spent the last three years at UIC as the director of compliance.
"Molly is a well-rounded administrator and brings a wealth of compliance and student-athlete development experience to our staff," Loyola Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics Dr. M. Grace Calhoun said. "Her familiarity with the Horizon League will provide a tremendous benefit to our growing department and should help make her transition a smooth one. We are pleased to welcome Molly to Loyola."
Prior to her current stint at UIC, Sullivan served as the compliance coordinator at Fordham University in 2007-08. Before her one-year term at Fordham, Sullivan spent two years at UIC, serving as both the NCAA Eligibility Coordinator and as an Academic Advisor/Compliance Assistant from 2005-07.
In her role as the director of compliance at UIC, Sullivan directed the Flames' compliance program and provided administrators, coaches and student-athletes with rules interpretations. A staff liaison to UIC's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Sullivan also processed financial aid for student-athletes, and administered Academic Progress Rate (APR) and Graduation Success Rate (GSR) Reports, among numerous other duties.
Sullivan spent two years working as an intern at the Horizon League from 2001-03, with duties ranging from communications and marketing to basketball operations and administration.
A 2002 graduate of Butler University, Sullivan received her master's degree in education/instructional leadership from UIC in 2005.
Sullivan and her husband Shawn, and their son, Liam, reside in Chicago.
