CHICAGO (February 5, 2018) – Milton Doyle (Chicago, Ill./Marshall/Kansas), a 2017 Loyola University Chicago graduate and former standout on the Ramblers' men's basketball team, has been named to the 2018 Midseason All-NBA G League Eastern Conference Team. The 6-foot-4 guard is averaging 21.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game for the Long Island Nets in the NBA G League. NBA G League coaches, general managers and players voted on the top performers from the first half of the season.
Â
The former First Team All-Missouri Valley Conference and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) First Team All-District selection signed a two-way contract with the Brooklyn Nets in December and became the first Loyola product to play in a NBA game since Andre Moore in 1987.
Â
Doyle was one of the all-time greats to don the Maroon and Gold, and over the weekend was named to Loyola's All-Century Team. He finished his Rambler career ranked eighth on the program's all-time scoring chart with 1,606 points and sixth with 459 assists. During his four-year career, Doyle helped the Ramblers to the 2015 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) title in the program's first postseason appearance in 30 years, and led them to their first Associated Press Top 25 Poll votes since 1985.
