CHICAGO (April 6, 2018) – Members of the Loyola University Chicago men's basketball program will be recognized at the Chicago Cubs 2018 home opener versus the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday, April 9. First pitch is scheduled for 1:20 p.m. at Wrigley Field.
 
The Ramblers will also lead the crowd in the singing of Take Me Out to the Ballgame during the seventh-inning stretch on Monday. 
 
Loyola captivated the hearts of Chicagoans and the nation with a memorable run through the NCAA tournament in March as the No. 11 seed Ramblers won four games to earn a spot in the Final Four in San Antonio. In a record-breaking season, the Ramblers won a program-best 32 games, earned their first outright conference title since 1985, and made the school's first NCAA tournament appearance in 33 years.
 
During the 2017-18 campaign, Loyola knocked off four nationally ranked teams as part of its 32 wins, topping No. 5 Florida, No. 22 Miami, No. 13 Tennessee and No. 24 Nevada.
