COACHING STAFF
Spirit Coordinator - Kaneidra Everson Loyola alum Kaneidra Everson serves as the Ramblers' spirit coordinator. She earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in criminal justice and was a four-year member of the Varsity Dance Team, including three years as captain. After completing her undergraduate studies, she was asked to join the Loyola coaching staff to continue leading the spirit programs toward a great future. Kaneidra worked for Universal Dance Association (UDA/Varsity Spirit Corporation) as a head instructor in the Midwest territory and continues to work for the company as a competition judge on both the regional and national level. She also works as a freelance choreographer for dance teams across the country. In her 12th year with the Loyola Spirit Programs, Kaneidra is also a Tactical Analyst at the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Dance Team Coach - Kate Sandy Kate Sandy enters her second season as the coach of Loyola's Dance Team. An Iowa native, Sandy graduated from the University of Iowa, where she majored in communication studies and dance. At Iowa, Sandy was a four-year member and two-year captain of the nationally ranked Hawkeyes' Dance Team. A former instructor for Universal Dance Association, Sandy continues to judge competitions, both regionally and nationally, as well as work staff tryouts for the company. She also actively choreographs for high schools in both Illinois and Iowa. Kate was the technique coach for the nationally ranked Lake Forest High School dance team for three seasons before taking her current position at Loyola. She is an advisor for the Illinois High School Association Dance Committee. In addition to coaching for Loyola, Sandy works for MB Real Estate in Chicago. Cheer Coach - Christine Auriene Christine Auriene is in her first season as the coach of Loyola University Chicago's Cheer Team. Auriene received a Bachelor of Arts degree in corporate and organizational communication from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Arts degree in public relations and advertising from DePaul University. Christine was a member of the Western Illinois University Co-Ed Cheer Team for one year and a member of the Northern Illinois All-Girl and Co-Ed Cheer teams for three years. She was also a four-year member of the Neuqua Valley High School Cheer Team and was a competitive All-Star Cheerleader for 11 years. Auriene has been a coach at Allstar Rebels of St. Charles, Ill., for the last six years and has coached nationally ranked all-girl and co-ed teams in levels 3, 4 and 5. She is also a stretch and stunt instructor at Allstar Rebels.
