A pack of six former Loyola standouts to run in Sunday's 26.2-mile event
Fourteen Loyola cross country/track & field student-athletes recognized
2011-12: Competed in first two cross country meets of the season ... Finished 52nd at UIC Home Opener and placed 169th at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championship ... Shaved eight seconds off his previous best time in the indoor mile with time of 4:34.55 at Grand Valley State ... Finished 10th in the 3,000m at the Margaret Bradley Invite in 10:01.97 ... Recorded personal-best time of 4:23.47 in the 1,500m at the Musco Twilight ... Clocked time of 2:00.65 in the 800m at Benedictine.
2010-11: Ran in first two cross country meets of the season ... Ran 24:07 over four-mile course at the Vincentian Cup Invitational ... Posted time of 30:25 at the UW Parkside Midwest Open ... Ran personal-best 4:42.66 in the mile during the indoor season at Illinois State ... Also ran 1:27.79 I the 600m at Illinois ... Did not compete during the outdoor season.
2009-10: Competed in first two cross country meets, including time of 29:18 at Illinois Intercollegiate meet ... Recorded season-best times off 2:00.47 in the 800m (Stan Lyons Invitational) and 4:38.92 in the 1,500m (Eastern Illinois) during the outdoor season.
2008-09: Finished sixth in the mile at the Early Bird Open with a time of 4:58.56...took 12th in the 600m (1:26.96) at the Illinois Invitational...placed 14th in the 500m (1:08.90) at the Notre Dame Indoor Opener...also competed in the indoor and outdoor 800m...finished 18th in the 1500m at the Ted Haydon Invitational, turning in a time of 4:28.44...competed at the Crusader Invitational 6K, finishing in 58th place with a time of 23:08.
High School: Three-year varsity letterwinner...recipient of the Coach's Cup Spirit Award and Most Improved Track Athlete...academic first honors.
