CHICAGO - As the Loyola University Chicago track & field squads continue their march towards the Horizon League Indoor Championship meet, their final stop will take place this Saturday when they compete at the Margaret Bradley Invitational, hosted by the University of Chicago. Field events are scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m., while the action on the track will commence at noon. A full breakdown of the day's events can be found above.

"We put up some nice marks last weekend," commented head coach Randy Hasenbank. "Declan Murray, Sam Penzenstadler, Rebecca Stearns and Gina Valgoi were impressive for us on the track. I was happy with the way Paul Yovanic and Candice Carajohn looked in their respective field events as well. This weekend should serve as a nice tune-up for us before we head down to Youngstown for the Horizon League Championship."

The Ramblers have made a habit of shattering school records on a weekly basis and last weekend was no different. Six new school records, along with 25 new top-ten marks, were established at the Grand Valley State Big Meet in Allendale, Mich. This Saturday, Loyola will send a pair of freshmen and sophomore-laden squads to Hyde Park as they look to improve some marks before next weekend's conference championship meet.

For the men's side, a pair of juniors, Alex Thornburg and Khushpal Sangha will lead the way in the men's 3000m run. Freshmen Mitch Baum and Nick Beller will represent the Ramblers in the mile run.

In the field, junior Paul Yovanic will be looking to improve on his Horizon League leading mark in the weight throw, while freshman Keagan Potts hopes to ascend the conference leaderboard in the pole vault.

Youth will be on full display for the women's side in the 200m dash. Freshmen Krista Kuss, Andrea Alvarez, Marisa Evers, Ninah Divine and Meghan Gulvas are all expected to compete. Kuss, Evers and Gulvas will quickly turn their attention to the 400m dash afterwards.

Junior Alison Szykowny will be showcased in the field for the Rambler women. The Palos Heights, Ill. native sits atop the Horizon League board in the weight throw and is a close second in the shot put, trailing Jennifer Neider of Youngstown State. The sophomore duo of Nikolina Madjer and Eve Hoffman will be competing in the high jump.

Following the Margaret Bradley Invitational, the Loyola University Chicago track & field teams will turn their attention to the Horizon League Indoor Championship meet in Youngstown, Ohio, February 23-24.
