ALEX BAKER - CRYSTAL LAKE CENTRAL HS, CRYSTAL LAKE, IL All-Time Best Marks Notable Accomplishments Coach Hasenbank: "Alex Baker put together a tremendous cross country season. Nearly every time he laced up, he ran a season or career best. What I like most is the way Alex puts him-self out there. He has a very competitive spirit and he runs to win. He came within a couple hundred meters of a state cross country title. His personality will make him fun to coach. He is a great young man who we feel is a fantastic fit for Loyola academically and athletically." JAKE BROWN - MOUNT ZION HS, MOUNT ZION, IL All-Time Best Marks Notable Accomplishments Coach Hasenbank: "Jake Brown is another fantastic student who we feel possesses great potential. He put together a terrific cross country season, like Alex Baker, Jake made a run at the class 1A state title ultimately finishing second. Jake is going to become a strong distance runner in our program. Jake has great cross country potential. He is a great cross country competitor and he will transition quickly to the collegiate distances. He will benefit by being surrounded by some very good student athletes here at Loyola." CHANDLER DIFFEE - LA FOLLETTE HS, MADISON, WI All-Time Best Marks Notable Accomplishments Coach Hasenbank: "Chandler is going to have a lot of fun at the next level. He captured a Wisconsin state cross country title and goes into the outdoor season as one of the top milers in the upper Midwest. I think he is a tremendous fit for us. He is an exceptional student who is very motivated. Chandler will contribute in many areas, with range from 800 meters all the way up to the cross country distances." JAMISON DALE - JONES COLLEGE PREP, CHICAGO, IL All-Time Best Marks Notable Accomplishments Coach Hasenbank: "Jamison not only excelled as an individual during the past year, but he also led Jones Prep to an historic season leading his team to the Illinois Class 2A state cross country title. This was the first state cross country title by a Chicago public school since the 60's. He will make an immediate impact in our program. Like Diffee, Jamison has a lot or range. A very dynamic athlete, an exceptional student and a great personality, Jamison will fit in well here at Loyola." ANDREW GIFFORD - WATERTOWN HS, WATERTOWN, WI All-Time Best Marks Coach Hasenbank: "Andrew will make a great addition to our squad. He is an honor student who will contribute greatly to our program. Andrew has a lot of speed and has done well in the middle distance races. Andrew will improve vastly in the cross country distances as he will have a lot of high quality teammates to train with. I am excited to add Andrew to this class, Loyola is getting a fantastic young man." JAZ HAYES - CENTRAL HS, LOUISVILLE, KY All-Time Best Marks Notable Accomplishments Coach Hasenbank: "Jaz is going to come into the Horizon League and make an immediate impact. He will make Loyola a much better team, adding depth in the 60 and 200 meter dashes Jaz is unique as he possesses great range. In the short sprints he will battle for titles. His ability at 400 meters will really help push the 4x400 to a championship level, he will be a big part of our relays. He has won a number of state high school individual championships, both indoors and outdoors. Recently, Jaz led his team (Louisville Central) to the Mason-Dixon Kentucky State HS indoor team title." NICHOLAS PRAJKA - CARL SANDBURG HS, ORLAND PARK, IL All-Time Best Marks Coach Hasenbank: "Nicholas is relatively new to the sport of track and field. In a short period of time he has managed to put up some nice marks. He qualified to the state finals in three different events (800, 4 x 400 and 4 x 800).
