Ramblers Set to Compete in NCAA Pre-Nationals

Field includes fifteen nationally ranked squads

2011-12: Named Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Running Newcomer of the Year ... Scored in all six cross country meets during the fall ... Earned Second Team All-Horizon League honors after finishing eighth at the Horizon League Cross Country Championship ... Team's third finisher (74th overall) at NCAA Midwest Regional meet ... Second Rambler across the finish line at both the Bradley Open (20th) and Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational (25th) ... Finished 10th overall at the UIC Home Opener and 13th overall at Illinois Intercollegiate Championship ... Finished fifth in the mile with a season-best time of 4:09.62 and took 11th in the 3,000m at the Horizon League Indoor Championship ... Won the mile event at the Iowa Invitational and took fourth in the 3K at the Gladstein Invitational in season-best 8:37.29 ... Won the 1,500m and finished third in the 800m at the Horizon League Outdoor Championship ... Turned in season-best time of 1:51.92 in the 800m final putting him just outside Loyola's all-time top 10 in that event ... Took second in the 1,500m in his first outdoor meet at the Wake Forest Open ... Took eighth in the 800m at the Tom Botts Invitational ... Turned in season-best time of 3:49.75 in the 1,500m at the Raleigh Relays ... Also took seventh in the seeded 1,500m relay event at the presitgious Drake Relays.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named First Team All-State in cross country and track...Three-time cross country First Team All-Conference selection...Also named First Team All-Conference in track...Finished fourth at the State Cross Country Meet...Took sixth place in the mile event at the Track State Meet...Ended high school career with personal-bests of 4:18 in the 1600m, 1:57 in the 800m, and 15:28 in the 5K...Was named to the Cross Country All-State Academic Team with a 3.8 GPA.
