CHICAGO - After a record-setting calendar year, Loyola's cross country and track & field teams handed out awards at their year-end banquet yesterday at the Norville Center for Intercollegiate Athletics.

The gathering capped a year in which Loyola student-athletes set 10 new school records and posted 80 marks/times that placed among the top 10 in school history in track and field while the men's and women's cross country teams finished second and third, respectively, at the Horizon League Championship and advanced to the NCAA Midwest Regional competition.

In addition to their athletic accomplishments, seven Ramblers were named to the Horizon League Winter All-Academic Team, six earned the nod to the Horizon League Spring All-Academic Team and 21 were members of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
