CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago's 1963 NCAA Championship team has earned a No. 1 seed in CBS Sports' Ultimate Bracket. The Ultimate Bracket is a bracket-style competition featuring each of the 74 NCAA Division I men's tournament champions to determine a mythical champion of champions.

The Ramblers earned the top seed in the East Region and will take on the winner of a first round game between 1958 University of Kentucky and 1959 University of California.

The seeding was determined by an objective formula that accounted for regular-season record, average margin of victory and First Team All- Americans and the bracket will be discussed by CBS analysts during the NCAA Tournament. Each game will be simulated 50,000 times by computer, one possession at a time, with the team that won the higher percentage of simulations advancing to the next round.
