Season tickets for another thrilling season of Loyola University Chicago men's basketball went on sale today. After a one-year hiatus, courtside floor seats will be offered as part of the 2012-13 season ticket packages that make Loyola basketball one of the most affordable tickets in town.
The 2012-13 Loyola men's basketball schedule features home games against each of the eight other schools in the Horizon League, including a February 16 showdown with city rival UIC, as well as non-conference contests versus Mississippi State (Dec. 15), Toledo (Nov. 9), Rockhurst (Nov. 12), Tennessee Tech (Nov. 28), Furman (Dec. 1) and the annual ESPN BracketBuster game (Feb. 23).
Courtside Floor Seats, which offer a unique perspective on the Rambler action are available for purchase by Rambler Varsity Club members only for $500 per seat, while Loyola Gold section season tickets are available for $300. Loyola Maroon section seats, which also offer a great view of the Gentile Arena court can be purchased for $200 with General Admission seats selling for $100. A discounted season ticket parking pass can also be purchased for $60 by Courtside Floor Seat, Loyola Gold and Loyola Maroon season ticket holders only.
Recent Loyola alums - those who graduated in 2012, 2011 or 2010 - have the option of purchasing season tickets at a discounted price. For those recent Loyola graduates, Loyola Maroon season tickets are available for only $150 ($50 savings) and General Admission seats can be had for only $75 ($25 savings).
Next Wednesday (Sept. 12) Loyola will hold an open house from 6-8 p.m. in Gentile Arena, during which season ticket holders can get reacquainted with their seats, check out seat locations that are available for purchase and/or upgrade and take a few jump shots on the basketball court.
During the open house, Rambler fans will also get a chance to preview the new VIP hospitality area located on the upper level of the south side of Gentile Arena, where food and drinks will be served at games during the upcoming season. Courtside floor seat holders and Rambler Varsity Club members who donate at the Team Captain ($1,000) level or higher will have access to the VIP hospitality area all season long.
Second-year Loyola head coach Porter Moser's squad features three returning starters, including Second Team All-Horizon League senior forward Ben Averkamp, and eight talented newcomers, including University of Iowa transfer and junior point guard Cully Payne.
