CHICAGO - With the start of the basketball season fast approaching, Loyola University Chicago fans are encouraged to save a handful of dates for special gatherings, which revolve around important men's basketball games. More information on these events will follow at a later date.
To officially ring in the start of the 2012-13 campaign, an alumni and season ticket holder reception will be held in The Norville Center for Intercollegiate Athletics prior to Midnight Madness in Gentile Arena, October 12. The Backcourt Club will also host five pre-game receptions during the 2012-13 season.
Loyola opens the regular season at home versus Toledo November 9 and a reception will be held in the Norville Center prior to tip-off.
On November 24 a pre-game reception will be staged at Fatty's Pub (1312 West Lincoln Highway, DeKalb, 1:30 p.m.) prior to the Ramblers' contest at Northern Illinois. Pre-game receptions are also on tap for Loyola's December 29 game at DePaul (at Harry Caray's -10233 West Higgins Road, Rosemont, 11 a.m.), the January 16 contest at UIC (at Salatino's - 626 South Racine Avenue, Chicago, 5:30 p.m.), and the January 2 showdown at Valparaiso (at Kelsey's - 2300 Morthland Drive, Valparaiso, Ind., 5:30 p.m.).
