CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago' Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will host the 15th Annual Misericordia Day when the Ramblers' men's basketball team plays host to Furman on Saturday, December 1 at 2 p.m., at Gentile Arena. Over 50 individuals from Misericordia Heart of Mercy are expected to attend the game.
A service provider that cares for over 550 children and adults challenged by mental and physical disabilities, Misericordia is a favorite destination for Loyola student-athletes. Each year, many of the Rambler teams pay multiple visits to the nearby Misericordia campus to perform a variety of community service activities and bring smiles to the faces of the residents.
Saturday's game versus Furman is one of two home games for Loyola during the month of December. The Ramblers also host Mississippi State on December 15. Loyola enters Wednesday night's game versus Tennessee Tech with a 4-2 record.
