CHICAGO - The Loyola University Chicago men's golf team will close out their 2012 fall season when they travel to the University of Dayton Invitational at the NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio.
A field of seventeen teams has been assembled for the tournament, including host school Dayton, local foe Chicago State and Horizon League rivals Detroit, Valparaiso and Youngstown State. The 36-hole tournament will begin with a shotgun start on Monday morning at 11 a.m. local time. The NCR South Course is a par-71 course with a layout of 7,055 yards.
The Ramblers are coming off a top-ten finish at the CSU Cougar Golf Classic earlier this week. Sophomore Nick Dennis turned in an impressive showing for the second consecutive tournament. His two-day score of 154 (76-78) secured him a tie for 25th on the individual leaderboard. Senior Brian Van De Motter (77-80) and junior Sean Hickey (75-83) also placed in the top fifty overall for Loyola.
Following the University of Dayton Invitational, the Loyola men's golf team will return to action in March when they begin their 2013 spring schedule.
