Loyola Tied for Fifth at UD Invitational
Alex Cusumano is one of three Ramblers tied for twentieth after day one of the UD Invitational.

Kettering, Ohio - The Loyola University Chicago men's golf team is tied for fifth place, a mere six shots off the lead, after round one play at the University of Dayton Invitational in Kettering, Ohio.

IPFW and Western Kentucky are tied for first after each team posted identical round one team scores of 295. Dayton, the host school, is one stroke off the lead in third. Nick Cunningham (Oakland) sits atop the individual leaderboard after he finished the day with a four-under 67.

A trio of Loyola golfers find themselves tied for twentieth on the leaderboard. Junior Alex Cusumano, sophomore Nick Dennis and senior Brian Van De Motter all posted opening round scores of 75 to lead the Ramblers. Junior Nick Willenborg is not far behind, after he finished the day with a score of 76. Junior Sean Hickey (85) rounded out the Rambler lineup on day one.

Final round play will commence tomorrow at the NCR Country Club in Kettering, with a shotgun start scheduled for 9 a.m. local time.
