Men's Soccer Adds Six To 2012 Roster

CHICAGO - After capturing the program's third Horizon League Tournament title in six years, Loyola University Chicago men's soccer head coach Brendan Eitz announced the addition of six incoming recruits set to join the team for the 2012 season.
"This recruiting class features a very well-balanced group of guys. We have attackers, midfielders, and a goalkeeper as well as some defending players. We're also adding quite a few left-footed players in this class to address one of our biggest areas of need."
TYLER CRUIKSHANK 5-10 • Defense/Midfield Marshalltown, Iowa • Marshalltown
Experienced player that will help anchor the defensive line...All-State honoree in 2009 and 2010...Ranked second in the state in assists as a senior...Served as high school team captain from 2010-2012...Member of Olympic Development Regional Team from 2005-2011...Named ODP team captain in 2010...Played for head coach Creighton Jenness at Marshalltown...Played for West Des Moines club team under coach Gareth Smith.
Eitz on Cruikshank: "Tyler can either play left back or left-center back and he is very good with left services. He has great experience in the Olympic Development Program as a regional team player and captain. We look forward to him stepping in and using that experience to help out right away."
TIM DOBROWOLSKI 6-4 • Goalkeeper Rockford, Ill. • Rockford Boylan
Strong, tall goalkeeper who will compete for a starting spot next season...NSCAA All-Midwest 2011 selection...IHSSCA All-State selection...Named Rockford Boylan's MVP and Most Improved Player in 2011...Helped team to Illinois State Championship in 2010...Named IHSSCA All-Sectional goalkeeper as a junior...Member of 2010 Illinois Olympic Development State Team...Played under head coach Chris Mera at Rockford Boylan and under coach Frank Horvat at Rock Run soccer club.

Athletic, versatile player who has great leadership qualities...Recorded 17 goals and 23 assists during high school career...Named Daily Herald All-Area in 2011...All-conference and all-sectional honoree in 2010 and 2011...Served as team captain during junior and senior seasons...Two-time team MVP...Played for high school head coach Rick Carlson at Buffalo Grove...Played club for Grove United under coach Garry Garcia.
Eitz on Flordaliso: "Marcus is a very versatile player. He's athletic, big, and strong. He tackles well. He's played everywhere form forward to defense in high school. Eitz on Howe: "Ryan is the younger brother of current Rambler sophomore James Howe. He is another left-footed player and is very versatile. He can play anywhere in the back as well as midfield and has a great service on the ball to take corner kicks and free kicks. We really look forward to working with him next year."

Force of attack...Tallied 24 goals and eight assists as a senior...Two-time all-conference selection...2011 MSHSSCA All-State Honorable Mention...Voted Edina's Offensive MVP in 2010 and 2011...Named team captain as a senior...Played for head coach Dave Jensen at Edina High School...Coached by Evan Fubs at the Minnesota Thunder Academy.
