Loyola Travels to No. 12 Creighton|

CHICAGO – Loyola University Chicago men’s soccer continues the 2012 campaign on Tuesday, Oct. 2, traveling to Omaha, Neb., for a non-conference match against No. 12 Creighton at 7 p.m.
vs. Creighton: Creighton is ranked No. 12 in the NSCAA Coaches’ poll and holds a 5-3-2 overall record this season. The Jays are coming off a scoreless double-overtime game against Drake after losing two back-to-back matches against Tulsa and Saint Louis. Sean Kim leads the Jays’ offense, scoring three goals, while Jose Gomez and Timo Pitter follow closely with two goals and two assists each. Alex Bolowich and Jeff Gal have split time in goal for Creighton, collectively notching four shutouts this season. Loyola has not won a game against Creighton and carries a 0-3-1 series record. The last time the teams met was in 2010 when Creighton posted a 2-0 win over the Ramblers.
Last Time Out: The Ramblers played their second consecutive double overtime game against Horizon League foe Milwaukee on Saturday, tying the Panthers, 1-1. Milwaukee scored in the 34th minute, but strong defensive play and opportunities up top allowed the Ramblers to come back in the 62nd minute. Freshman Dane Bergstrom sent the ball to the center of the field where junior Kyle Spoo powered a shot 15 yards out to tie the game.
