Men's Soccer Blog #5
Oct. 16, 2012
Dinner is a place where families come together to enjoy each other's company, as well as find the nourishment needed to live a healthy life. It is also important for any soccer player to get the proper fuel needed for a 90 minute soccer game. Food is honestly one of my favorite things in life as I am sure anyone who knows me will confirm. So, for this week's blog, I will take you through my top three team meal experiences:
1. Jason's Deli, Des Moines --> It is always fun to see the locals get confused when a line of 20 soccer players in full gear walk into a place. Our line went out the door as people who arrived just behind us tried to get in front of us in order to bypass the wait. This place was quite a gem though, and we all enjoyed large sandwiches that ranged from chicken to ham and cheese. Needless to say, I do not think there will be a Subway opening up nearby anytime soon, unless it wants to go out of business.
