Ramblers Head East To Play EIVA Rivals
Loyola travels to St. Francis on Friday

CHICAGO - After a brief two-game home stand, the Ramblers (2-3) head back on the road, traveling East where they take on EIVA rivals St. Francis (Pa.), and George Mason before concluding the trip at No. 6 Penn State on Tuesday, Jan. 22. Loyola is riding the momentum of a two-match win streak, recently defeating St. Ambrose and Carthage at home.
The Ramblers begin play on Friday, Jan. 18 against St. Francis, traveling to George Mason on Saturday, Jan. 19. First serve for both matches is at 6 p.m. CST.
Scouting the Red Flash - St. Francis hosts its first match at DeGol Arena after collecting a 1-2 record on the road. The Red Flash dropped their last match, falling to Ball State, 3-0. After a double-double performance at Ball State, junior Colin Sherwin leads St. Francis with 24 kills (2.40 kills per set) and 15 digs. Senior Adam Roche anchors the Red Flash at the net, posting 12 total blocks (1.2 blocks/set).
- Loyola controls its series with St. Francis collecting an 8-1 all-time record. The Ramblers won the last meeting in 2012, taking three straight sets (25-22, 25-22, 25-16).
Scouting the Patriots - After being ranked No. 14 in the preseason, George Mason (1-2) started the season with two losses, recently picking up its first win after sweeping Grand Canyon in three sets. Sophomore Piotr Dabrowski leads George Mason and the EIVA, totaling 19 blocks this season. Senior setter Javier Perez has dished out 94 assists, while also moving to second in EIVA standings with 11 block assists. Perez trails teammate Dabrowski by four.
