CHICAGO - After a closely fought battle with No. 6 Penn State, our team was more than anxious to get to practice the next week and work to prevent losses like that from happening again.
We spent each day focusing on a particular part of our game where we felt we struggled most, in order to strengthen our weaknesses and have the rest fall in place. We were fortunate enough to have a full week of practice so that we could adequately prepare for our upcoming games against George Mason and St. Francis.
Our first match of the weekend was on Friday against George Mason. We came firing right out of the gate and put them away in four sets. Without much time for celebrating our focus instantly switched to the next night's match against St. Francis. Having dropped at match to them last year in Pennsylvania we made sure that wasn't going to happen again, especially on our court. We sent them home early beating them in three sets.
With most of our non-conference matches out of the way, we began preparing for our first conference match at Ball State. With a great week of practice behind us we are ready and excited to keep this winning streak alive and start out our conference play on the right foot. Wish us good luck as we head out to Ball State tonight and take on the Cardinals!
