Loyola Hosts Conference Rival Lewis on Saturday
Ramblers hold a 12-5 advantage when hosting the Flyers

CHICAGO – Loyola University Chicago men’s volleyball continues a five-game homestand this Saturday, Feb. 16, when the Ramblers host No. 14 Lewis at 7 p.m. Both teams remain undefeated in conference play as Loyola improved to 2-0 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) after defeating Quincy and Lindenwood last week.
Last Time Out – Loyola recently earned victories against Quincy (3-1) and Lindenwood (3-0) to extend a five-game win streak. Eric Daliege led the battle at the net with 10 total blocks (1.42 blocks/set) while Thomas Jaeschke paced the Ramblers with 3.33 kills per set after posting a career-high 15 kills against Lindenwood on Feb. 9.
vs. the Flyers - Lewis carries a 4-0 conference record into the match on Saturday, defeating Lindenwood and Quincy in straight sets last week. The reigning AVCA Player of the Week, Eric Fitterer, has recently led the Flyer’s attack as the sophomore notched 3.83 kills per set in the last two conference matches. Fitterer is joined on the attack by Geoff Powell (3.61 kills/set) and Jay Petty (2.76 kills/set). Bobby Walsh anchors Lewis at the net, posting 55 total blocks to average 1.06 blocks per set. After splitting regular-season matches against Lewis last season, the Ramblers fell to the Flyers in the MIVA Semifinals, 3-0. Loyola leads its series with the Flyers, 21-19, holding a 12-5 advantage when hosting Lewis.
