CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago hosts non-conference rival Princeton on Monday, March 18. After defeating No. 7 Lewis and Saint Francis last week, the Ramblers improved to 12-8 overall and look to continue their win streak against the Tigers. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
Scouting the Tigers: Princeton owns an 8-4 overall record and ranks third in the EIVA, going 6-2 in conference play. The Tigers took last week off after dropping a match to Lewis, 3-0, before sweeping NJIT, 3-0. Outside hitters Pat Schwagler and Devin Stearns lead the attack, averaging 3.82 and 2.84 kills per set, respectively. The Tigers lead the EIVA with 2.76 blocks per set as Michael Dye (1.09 blocks/set) and Will Siroky (1.08 blocks/set) anchor the defense.
This is only the second time Loyola and Princeton have met in program history. It has been over a decade since the teams opened the series in 1998 when the Ramblers defeated the Tigers on the road, 3-1.
