CHICAGO - Under the direction of head coach Shane Davis, the Loyola men's volleyball team will host three camps this summer. The Ramblers will host a Beach Camp (July 10-12) that will take place at Chicago's North Avenue Beach, followed by a Skills Camp (July 13-15) and a Hi-Performance Camp (July 16-18), both of which will take place at the newly renovated Gentile Arena on Loyola's Lakeshore Campus.
The Beach Camp is for boy entering grades 6-12 and will focus on improving the mental and physical aspects of the beach game while also building strength and speed for the indoor game. Due to the nature of the beach volleyball, each player much be capable of performing every skill.
The Skill Camp is for players entering grades 7-12. Campers will receive a greater understanding of volleyball as well as specific instruction tailored to their position. Participants have the option of staying overnight on campus or commuting.
The Hi-Performance Camp is for players entering grades 9-12 and will expose campers to a Division I collegiate-style of training with extensive positional and team-based drills.
