Fifteen Loyola Men's Volleyball Players Named To MIVA Academic All-Conference Team

CHICAGO - Loyola men's volleyball was well-represented as the Ramblers placed 15 student-athletes on the 2013 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) Academic All-Conference Team. A total of 101 student-athletes were recognized from the eight MIVA schools with Loyola trailing only Grand Canyon (17) and Ohio State (16) for total representatives. To be eligible, student-athletes must have achieved at least a career 3.0 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale after the completion of the fall semester at their respective institutions.
Loyola (22-9) won the MIVA Tournament title for the first time in school history and will take on UC Irvine tonight in the national semifinals. First serve from Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT and the match can be seen live through NCAA.com.
