2011 Loyola Ramblers Golf Outing A Swinging Success|
Dec. 21, 2011
CHICAGO - The Loyola University Chicago Department of Intercollegiate Athletics recently held the 26th Annual Loyola Ramblers Golf Outing at Cog Hill Golf Club in Lemont, Ill., on August 4. This year's event was a rousing success as a total of 319 golfers, the largest contingent in the history of the event, turned out to enjoy a great day of golf and socializing, while helping Loyola Athletics.
Over $20,000 was raised on the day and following a round of golf, a barbecue dinner was held and Loyola Assistant Vice President Dr. M. Grace Calhoun, men's basketball coach Porter Moser and women's basketball coach Eric Simpson addressed the crowd.
Loyola Athletics would like to thank the sponsors of the 26th Annual Loyola Ramblers Golf Outing: Platinum-level sponsors Wilson, UPS of St. Charles, Loyola Alum Pat Devereaux and Lungate; and Gold-level sponsors Dr. Pepper/Snapple, Coca Cola and Red Mango. A special thanks also goes to all individuals who donated items for raffle prizes and the silent auction, as well as those who volunteered to work the event.
