Loyola Women's Golf Places Seventh At NIU Snowbird Intercollegiate

TAMPA, Fla. - Final 2010 NIU Snowbird Intercollegiate Results Lucy McGovern recorded her sixth top-five finish in as many meets this season to help Loyola University Chicago to a seventh-place showing at the NIU Snowbird Intercollegiate at Pebble Creek Golf and Country Club. Play concluded today with 18 holes of action, with the Ramblers posting a 347 this afternoon to finish the 36-hole tournament with a score of 672 (325-347). Methodist held on to capture the title with a 645 (317-328). After shooting a one-over-par 73 in yesterday's opening round of action, McGovern carded an 85 today and finished with a 158 (73-85), which was good enough for a tie for fourth place overall. Also registering a top-10 finish for the Ramblers was Nikki Miller, who notched a 162 (78-84) to tie for ninth. Ann Vrdolyak (83-91=174) tied for 31st, Ashley Garrison (91-87=178) tied for 39th and Rachel Mayer (91-91=182) tied for 47th to round out the Loyola lineup, while Megan Sujack, who was competing as an individual, posted a two-day tally of 188 (90-98) to tie for 57th. Loyola is back in action when it participates in the Butler Spring Invitational at Prestwick Country Club in Avon, Ind., March 22-23. Final Team Results |
