Hey Ramblers! Welcome to the first entry of my blog. This blog will be about what goes on in the life of a student-athlete and the women's soccer team as a whole here at Loyola University Chicago. I will be filling you in on every aspect of the team including games, practices, stories of our travels, the serious side of things, and of course the funny side of things.

As some of you might already know, the women's soccer team was one of the many that received a new coaching staff. We welcome Mr. Barry Bimbi and Miss Kirsten Lawrence to Loyola! They have been nothing but amazing so far. The energy and strength they have brought to our team has really had a wonderful impact on us.

Starting August 4th for preseason, we have been hard at work training and creating an amazing chemistry within the team. Our first game against Bowling Green showed exactly how hard we had been working when we walked off the field after 90 minutes of battling with our first W.

The hard work continues as we train throughout the week and weekends when we don't have games preparing for each match we are faced with.

Tonight it continues with the DePaul Blue Demons!!! Hop on the 155 bus to the Loyola Soccer Park a short mile down Devon and support the team.  Feel free to join in with the chant that we scream before every game.

"Fight, fight Old Loyola.
On our way to victory.
Paint the city maroon and gold.
And leave the Blue Demons on their knees

Hope to see you all there!

Until next time,

Sally Tashjian
