Alex Brown reflects on last week's matches
Oct. 16, 2012
Hey Rambler Fans!
This is Alex Brown, but most of my team calls me Brownie. It has been a while since we last had a blog, so I'm here to fill you in on the latest happenings!
It has been an interesting season with many ups and downs and different emotions. Excitement really kicked in when we came out with a six-game unbeaten streak. Spirits were high and we began to change the culture of our team. We soon faced adversity, however, when multiple players started to get injured. It was tough on the team to see our teammates getting hurt and having to sit out, but we knew that no matter what was happening we needed to dig deep to overcome that adversity and play the best that we could to get the results that we wanted.
With conference play in full force, we know this is the time to shine and to show each opponent how great Loyola can play. We had great games last week against UW-Milwaukee and Youngstown State. Each player put forth an amazing effort, refusing to give up until the final whistle. It was a devastating loss at Milwaukee in double overtime, but it really opened our eyes to the talent we have on our team. It was nice to come back on Sunday and dominate against the Penguins and leave with a 2-0 win.
We will continue to fight with only two conference games left. We're ready to take control and show everyone that we are as good as we believe we are!
Thank you to everyone for all the support we have received. We greatly appreciate it and look forward to the continued support during this final stretch of regular season.
