Feb. 25, 2013
CHICAGO - Four dates of competition, including the annual Three Wise Men Tournament at Gentile Arena, highlight Loyola University Chicago's spring schedule, which was announced today. The Ramblers begin their spring slate on March 16 when they travel to Madison, Wis., to face perennial Big Ten Conference power, University of Wisconsin. Following the short trip north to Madison, the Ramblers take two weeks off from competition before heading to Champaign, Ill., on April 6 to play Illinois and Northern Illinois at Huff Hall. One week later, on April 13, the Ramblers welcome six other teams - Bradley, DePaul, Green Bay, Iowa, Lewis, and UIC - to Gentile Arena for the Three Wise Men Tournament, which will run from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Loyola closes out the spring campaign on April 20 when it makes a short trek north on Sheridan Road to Northwestern, where it will face the host Wildcats and Northern Illinois. Times for all of the tournaments are to be determined. Head coach Chris Muscat welcomes back xx starters from last season's team, which went 17-12 and advanced to the semifinal round of the Horizon League Championship. Loyola tied for the best win differential (+13) in NCAA Division I in 2012 and the Ramblers also became the first team in Horizon League history to place four players on the League's all-newcomer team. 2013 Loyola Women's Volleyball Spring Schedule |
