CHICAGO (January 21, 2018) – Elliot Collier, who recently completed his playing career with the Loyola University Chicago men's soccer team, was selected by the Chicago Fire in the third round (49
th overall pick) of the 2018 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft on Sunday afternoon. Collier is the first Rambler in program history to be selected in the MLS SuperDraft.

Collier enjoyed a highly successful career during his four-year stay with the Maroon & Gold. The Hamilton, New Zealand product was a four-time All-Missouri Valley Conference selection, earning First Team nods in each of the last two seasons. He was also recognized as a First Team All-West Region honoree by the United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) following his junior season.
A 6-foot-4 forward, Collier found the back of the net 17 times during his Loyola career, highlighted by a career-best five tallies during the aforementioned junior campaign. He closed his time in Rogers Park with an impressive senior season, finishing as the Ramblers' overall points leader (13) with four goals and a career-best five assists.
Collier will join former Rambler great Eric Gehrig, who is set to begin his second season as an assistant coach with the Fire.
